Corporate volunteers from Uddeholm UK helped with this. We also had a group of Vegan Runners from the Bristol area also on the Saturday and some local volunteers on the Sunday. We planted two shelterbelts next to the road to supplement the existing hedgerow.
The surrounding habitat comprised small scattered fragments of broad-leaved woodland so the shelterbelts provided good connectivity with the existing habitat.
Help us create and maintain new woodlands, hedgerows and wildflower meadows! We need volunteers to sow seeds, plant saplings, clear invasive plant species and pick up litter. No qualifications necessary; jobs for all ages and abilities. Come and turn climate anxiety into climate action!
