🌳 591 trees planted

We planted three small areas of woodland of around 600 trees and shrubs to create a new wildlife habitat. It's low lying wet ground, and the woodland along with new lakes and ditches will help to retain more water and reduce flooding in the area. We had help from two groups of corporate volunteers, from Hoffmann UK Quality Tools Ltd and ChilliBob PR and Marketing.

Trees were planted as bare rooted 40-60cm whips and were protected with 1.2m tree tubes and stakes in clusters of the same species, randomly spaced. Shrubs protected with 75cm shrub guards and stakes. Random gaps were left to provide open areas in the woodland.
