Protect Earth were brought on to create nearly over 1.5km of shelterbelts in beautiful Ayrshire, southwest Scotland. These extra thick shelterbelts will be 10 metres wide and consist of 10 native tree species and 4 woody shrub species. These shelterbelts will protect and consolidate the soils on the farm, while providing exceptional habitat for a wide variety of birds, invertebrates and other wildlife.
Help us create and maintain new woodlands, hedgerows and wildflower meadows! We need volunteers to sow seeds, plant saplings, clear invasive plant species and pick up litter. No qualifications necessary; jobs for all ages and abilities. Come and turn climate anxiety into climate action!
