Wadswick Green was a little different to the plantings that we often do at Protect Earth. Just a stones throw from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you’ll find Wadswick Green, a 20 year old planted woodland on the boundary of a rural retirement home. We were brought in due to some of the Ash plantation dying, and rather than replace them with more Ash, we restocked the woodland with a more varied biodiverse approach. Planting local, native species that are a little more resilient, we hope to have bolstered this ecosystem a little, and that in another 20 years time this woodland will be absolutely thriving.
